How can you not enjoy China, maybe it's the only country where you can get everything delivered. Need flowers, cheese, clothes, wine, underwear? Whatever you will need, China has you covered. We picked some of the best services in the city, with English speaking services and reliable quality. 


1. FRUITS & VEGETABLES




Vegetables are great but if you need a lot it can make the grocery store trip a little sore on the arms. Get organic vegetable delivery at home. Goma (WeChat ID : Gomagreens), with its wechat account, is the most convenient. If you have a goma friend to refer, you get a RMB50 discount. It works with weekly boxes filled with seasonal vegetables. Large family box at RMB299/week, or RMB199 for the small family box.  An organic farm in Pudong since 2004, 




BIOfarm ( http://www.biofarm.cn/) produces a wide range of seasonal fruits and vegetables grown from their 100-acre farm. A weekly box delivery service exists, but you can also separately pick the vegetables. RMB300 for a big box. The last option is 1mutian, which has been supplying many organic supermarkets in Shanghai since 2008. Most options on their website have very reasonable prices (they also offer fish and meat). Only in Chinese but very costumer friendly. 


2. CHEESE




Have you been to imported supermarket cheese corner? Yes? You remember the prices? Well... there are still reasonable ways to supply your fridge with cheese. Cheese Republic  import cheese directly from French’s mountain and each week they offer some seriously interesting deals via their wechat account.   


Le Fromager De Pekin (http://www.lefromagerdepekin.com), A local master cheese maker, based in Beijing, you can order via his website. Deliveries usually arrive within 3 days. Recently opened Maison Traiteur  is a traditional French butcher shop, which has sausage, pate, cold cuts, smoked salmon, marinated vegetables and a bunch of other goodies.



 

2. WINE & LIQUORS 




Forgot to buy the drinks for tonight’s dinner? No problem. With Bottle Xo, get your bottle of wine within 60 minutes. The delivery is free and you can order via wechat, their app, the website… Can’t be easier. Drink Kuaidi proposes whisky, vodka, mixer and even cocktail’s kit.  Same receipt, free delivery within the hour. Perfect. For those who are wine lovers and more into rare bottles, Auchanwines got the biggest catalog of drinks. If you live in downtown Shanghai you can get your drinks within few hours. 




3. CAKES




Birthday coming?  In charge of bringing the dessert? Here are the best spots to help! Dutch pie is one of our favorite guilty sweets suppliers. Pies are around RMB130, and you need to call them at least 24 hours in advance, oh and there’s free delivery, which is great. Ulrich’s is doing German bakeries (carrot cake, tartlet, black forest, Apple-Strudel). Count on spending around RMB20 for their sweet, RMB200 for tarts to share. You need to place your order before 5PM, RMB150 minimum order, flat delivery fee of 15RMB. Last option is CinnaSwirl (http://www.cinnaswirlchina.com), count RMB100 for 6 delicious sweets, and you need to order via Meal bay.  


4. DINNER




Yes of course there’s the old faithful Sherpas (www.sherpa.com.cn). But other dining delivery systems do indeed exist in Shanghai. Mealbay (www.mealbay.net) is another expat-friendly service with an impressive list of restaurants to choose from. You can find some well-known names like Wheat, Da Camilla, MYLK, Gemma, and Scarpetta.  RMB15 delivery fee.  Last option, all in Chinese, is Elema. You can find practically any kind of cuisine and price range, depending of your patience. Delivery fees vary from place to place, but it’s usually no more than RMB10. Lots of deal to keep an eye on.  

 



5. SUPER MARKET




For everything else, the classic supermarkets are always available. Epermarket, Kate & Kimi (www.kateandkimi.com)  and Fields (www.fieldschina.com), the three golden names every expat should know about. They basically offer the same conditions of delivery (with a few subtle differences). Dairy, vegetables, snacks, frozen food… all packed in one and ready to make its way to your door. Maybe the most convenient and time-saving option is Carrefour, which also does delivery if you are looking for Chinese products. 



 

6. CLOTHES/FASHION 




Can’t find shoes your size? Well you knew it before moving to Asia... However, there are still ways to satisfy your fashion compulsion. Or, add Castlehawk (Wechat Id: adjustmypc) and get all the latest trends from overseas in foreign friendly sizes. Or, opt for online shopping website Asos offers delivery all over the world.  Free standard Shipping, USD 34 for the express. For those obsessed with one special dress they missed, Zara also does delivery at home. Count for 2-3 working days to get your stuff, free delivery at stores or at home. 

 

7. LAUNDRY




Getting your suit cleaned at a laundry service is not laziness… it is simple logic. Are you willing to spend your day working and your evening ironing your shirts? No way! Appropriate advanced cleaning methods, environmentally friendly, Hypo-allergenic wash and fold… some personal valet services are even better than doing it at home. For service in English you can pick SPQwash (http://spawashchina.com/SpaWash/) (free pick-up and delivery). Laundry town (https://www.laundrytown.com) for RMB59 every 1 load (6 pounds). RMB15 for the delivery if it’s less than 2 loads (only in Shanghai downtown).  Laundry Express (http://laundryex.com) has a more detailed service, A t-shirt costs RMB14, a blouse RMB18, prices vary for coats, starting RMB350. There’s also free pick-up and delivery. 

 

8. FLOWERS 




Not in China during your true love’s birthday? First option: the international company Floraqueen (www.floraqueen.com). They have an impressive list of bouquets available, along with the option to add chocolates, a vase, teddy bears… Count on spending USD8 for delivery, extra costs during the weekend.  A great local option is Shanghai-flowers (www.shanghai-flowers.com). They propose coupling your flowers with a fruit basket.  Around RMB300 for each. Whereas China’s oldest flower service is chinaflowers.net. Which can do same day delivery, and they also offer plants/cakes/teddy bears etc., They accept all kind of payment options. All kind of prices but nothing under RMB200.
