[COMING SOON] Apple Pay for Metro Transit In The Works

iPhone users may have noticed a new software update is available this week, IOS10.3.1. Chinese social media has been buzzing about a new potential feature, pictured below.

Shanghai residents might be about to join London and Tokyo in having their Apple Pay work for city transit. That would include metro, cabs and busses. It’s not official yet, but this would allow Apple Pay’s quick pay feature on your phone (or even your apple watch) to be scanned instead of metro cards.
