[METRO ALERT] Metro Service Hours Extended
After several delays, the Shanghai Metro has announced it will finally be extending certain metro running times, starting on April 28th. The extensions are aimed to help deal with increased weekend and holiday traffic.
Starting this weekend, Lines 1,2,7,8,9, and 10 will be extended every Friday and Saturday (and also on this upcoming May 1 holiday).
In addition to weekends, Lines 10 and Line 16 will be extended on working days, by about 25 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively.
Weekend line extension times:
Line 2 will be extended by about 70 minutes.
Line 1, 7, 8, 9 will all be extended by about 80 minutes.
Line 10 will be extended by about 105 minutes.
Most downtown lines will run until around 12:00 pm
