4 Farine Staff Arrested

On April 28th, district prosecutors in Minhang arrested 4 members of the Farine staff over their recent expired flour scandal.



Those arrested include the bakery's production director, French national Laurent Daniel Fortin, as well as three Chinese employees, Xin Xiangrong, Lu Jiajian, and Hu Jun.



They are accused of using expired flour to make bread in their Minhang factory, which was then distributed among their five stores in Shanghai (see related articles below for more information about the scandal).



All of their Shanghai stores are currently closed (and reportedly for rent).
