Showroom for World's Fastest Production Car Opening in Shanghai

A NIO showroom is set to open soon in the West Nanjing area, giving us the chance to check out one of the world’s fastest cars.
In fact, you could even call it THE fastest car, since it just edged out the Lamborghini Huracan Performante’s previous lap record at Nurburgring by three seconds. The NextEV NIO EP9, which is electric by the way, made Nurburgring history by completing a lap in 6m 45.9s.

The NIO EP9 previously held the record for fastest lap last year by an electric car at 7m 05.12s. Their second attempt in better weather led to them grabbing the number one overall spot.
