Megaherz is a German industrial metal group formed in Munich in 1995. Their style of Neue Deutsche Härte is a subgenre of industrial metal, which takes elements of groove metal, techno, and German rock. Megaherz makes use of clean and deep male vocals, heavy riffs, samples, keyboard and synthesizer effects.

This Thursday at the Pearl you can check out Shepard & Tambora, a funk duo who have opened for Barry White, Earth Wind and Fire, Lakeside, Regina Belle, Morris Day and the Time, and many others. No cover, and the show starts at 8pm.

Years & Years are one of the UK’s biggest and most loved breakthrough bands of recent years whose widely critically acclaimed debut album Communion topped the charts in 2015. Their blend of electropop, mixing R&B and 1990s house elements was the fastest-selling debut album in 2015 from a UK signed band.


WETWARE FESTIVAL WARM UP: COLD CAVE

Cold Cave is the moniker for the music of Wesley Eisold based in Los Angeles and New York City whose music is described as a "collage of darkwave, noise, and synthpop". The music is synonymous with early 1980's post-punk and early synthpop, in particular Joy Division.

UP A TREE INDIEPOP FESTIVAL

Hey wadayaknow, another music festival in Shanghai. Up a Tree Indiepop Fest is a two-day indie pop celebration taking place at Uptown Record Store during the day, Yuyintang at night. Featured bands include Pictured Resort, Juvenile Juvenile, The Cheers Cheers, Gatsby in a Daze.

Big, simple, raw, and intimate: Low’s crushingly-beautiful music is a series of dichotomies: stunning and menacing, gorgeous and frightening, giving and desperate, and ultimately, unbearably heavy and unbearably light. The band have released 12 albums, the latest 2015’s Ones and Sixes, and are currently signed to the influential Sub Pop label.

Gryphin is a unique combination of media people, curators, designers and professional musicians, their music is a mix of British rock and American garage rock. Gryphin is also known as Guangzhou's most independent band.

Clean Bandit are 2014s biggest and most diverse UK breakthrough stars, interlocking a whole host of genres from classical strings to pumping electronic beats, creating an incomparable musical fusion. This Shanghai show is specially for those who can’t make it to Beijing to see them in the MTA Festival.
