The Chop Chop Club serves up a showstopper soup served in a charred, whole roast pumpkin. Caramelized onions and pancetta buff up the flavor. Make sure to scoop the tender flesh from the sides.

Fujian style steamed eighteen ingredient soup from Wujie (RMB 68)


This soup is prepared at a slow and even 100C. That temp keeps the ingredients (lion’ mane mushroom, golden fungus, local and Japanese pumpkin, etc.) perfectly intact and is an experience to be savored layer by layer.

The Orange Soup at Ginger by the Park contains pumpkin, carrot and sweet potato (RMB 70)


The Orange Soup is an organic and antioxidant packed puree of sweet and spicy orange flavors including: pumpkin, carrot, sweet potato, ginger and chili. It will definitely keep you warm. 


Ginger by the Park also uses pumpkin in their Super Salad (RMB 105)


To complete your meal, try Ginger’s Super Salad. It is full of super foods such as: quinoa, spinach, pumpkin, goji berries, blueberries and mixed nuts. The lemon honey vinaigrette is light and flavorful.

El Willy takes it to another level with black truffle and pumpkin creamy rice (RMB 230)


El Willy does amazing things to rice, and the black truffle pumpkin creamy rice is no exception. Spoon it out and it spreads temptingly on your plate. Shavings of truffle and heaps of cheese don’t hurt either.

The roasted pumpkin paper at Wujie is part of the eleven course Autumn Sunray menu (RMB 799pp) 


Chef Ivan Xu wanted a dish that looked like paper, which lead to this elaborate take on pumpkin curry with Thai influences. Pumpkin is prepared multiple ways and accented with coconut milk turned into jelly.

We were happy to hear that November’s flavor of the month is pumpkin over at Strictly Cookies. These soft, cakey cookies have a moist interior (due to pumpkin’s natural moisture) and a warm spiciness.

The pies at Al’s have a crust that your grandmother would be proud of, a fresh pumpkin puree and a beautiful piping of spiced whipped cream. It’s best to call ahead for a whole pie.

This is for days when you want to stuff your face without even chewing. Charlie’s takes a full slice oreo crusted pumpkin pie and whizzes it up with real ice cream and milk.

The divine pastries at Pâte have been all over social media lately, especially this pumpkin cheese cake. It’s tangy with a clear pumpkin taste for all year pumpkin eaters.
