Wagas
Wagas brunch bowl is as pretty as it is delicious
Brunch at Wagas is available until 11am from Monday to Friday. When we want a lighter start the brunch bowl (RMB 58) with roast pumpkin, feta, tabouli, fried egg and avocado really hits the spot. The smashed avocado toast with bacon and eggs (RMB 50) is good for days we feel a bit naughty.
Moka Bros
Salmon Sashimi Bibimbap Power Bowl (RMB 78)
New Beijing transplant, Moka Bros, has power bowls, smoothie bowls and smoothies available for all your weekday brunch needs. If you don’t consider a meal to be 'brunch' unless it has an egg on it, this oozy poached egg on top of a flavor-packed bowl of salmon with kimchi and seaweed is just what you need.

When it comes to all day breakfast, EGG never lets us down with their core menu of toasts (sweet and savory options, bowls, breakfast sandwiches and ever changing seasonal latte and coconut chia puddings. The B.E.C. (RMB 58) is a combination of our favorite items (bacon, egg, cheese) in a pretzel bun and avocado toast (RMB 55, RMB 8 for an egg) are the choices we order most often.

La Crêperie
La Complète is available Monday to Friday as part of a lunch set (RMB 88)
La Crêperie’s Jing’an branch allows us to add a little bit of French flavor to our weekday brunches. While technically a lunch set, choose the savory La Complète, which comes with cheese, egg and ham or La P’tit Mousse which comes with smoked salmon to keep things on the brunch tip.

Shakshouka (RMB 60) available from 8am to 10pm every single day
In addition to being one of the best bakeries in town, we dare say they make the best shakshouka in Shanghai. The eggs are gently poached in a flavorsome tomato-based sauce and the dish is best enjoyed by dipping some of their excellent bread into it.

This BIG English breadfast (RMB 98) includes everything that the standard (RMB 68) has plus black pudding and a hash brown.
Prefer your brunch British-style? Then Pie Society has an all-day full English breakfast (RMB 68) that will satisfy the largest appetites with two eggs, two rashers of back bacon, one sausage, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, Heniz beans and toast. Smaller eaters might prefer a toasted English muffin with egg, rocket and cheese (RMB 15) or another sandwich option.

Deli Boys
The Mish Mash breakfast plate (RMB 62)
Farmer Richie (of Kate & Kimi fame) has recently opened a Montreal-style deli called Deli Boys and people cannot stop raving about the all-day breakfast complete with, wait for it…bottomless coffee! Choose from egg plates, French toast or grilled cheese. The smoked meat potatoes side served alongside each plate is also amazing.
