Who doesn’t love a romantic and exciting evening gliding around an ice rink? It’s fun, inexpensive, perfect for a date and a great way to spend your free time this holiday season. Here are 5 perfect places to go strut your stuff.


Feiyang Skating Center



Address: 201 Yunlian Lu, Pudong

Hours: Mon-Fri 7pm-9:00pm; Sat-Sun 10:00am-9:00pm

Price: weekday evening: RMB 40/150min; weekend: RMB 60/150min

This is the only skating center in Shanghai that has double ice. The upper arena has Olympic standards, with more than 1800 square meters. The lower is a practicing rink with around 1000 square meters. You can free skate during their opening hours, or even watch hockey games.


All Star Ice Skating Club 




Address: Mercedes Benz Arena B2,1200 Shibo Avenue,Pudong

Hours: Mon-Fri 10am-9:30pm; Sat-Sun 10:00am-8:30pm

All Star is an enormous, iconic indoor rink, considered the biggest skating center with the best environment in Shanghai. It provides lockers and seats for parents to wait for their kids. The staff are happy to help less experienced skaters.


Century Star Skating Club 



Address: L401, 1599 Wezhong lu 

Hours: Mon-Sun 10am-10:00pm

Price: RMB 70/2hours (including equipment rental)


Century used to be at Mercedes Benz Arena, but moved to 200 Shanggang Lu because their contract expired. Its new home is inside the Peru Pavilion, with an area of nearly 1400 square meters. They provide regular hockey and skating lessons, as well as free skating.


Champion Rink




Address: 6th floor in  Shanghai New World, 2-68 Nanjing Xi Lu, Huangpu;7th floor in BaiLian YouYiCheng,8 Songhu Lu, Yangpu; 5th floor in BaiLian XiJiao Shopping Mall, 88 Xianxia Xi Lu, Changning

Hours: Daily 9:30am-9:30 pm

Price: RMB 75/2hours(including equipment rental)




Champion is the first chain skating rink in China, and it currently has three locations in Shanghai. All three rinks are inside shopping malls, so they’re easy to find and if you get sick of falling on your butt, you can go grab some food or go shopping with friends.
