2018-02-21 Cristina Ng ShanghaiWOWeng

This winter has been so rough. It just seems like endless days of bad pollution and coldness. When things are this bleak, you have to treat yourself to a handheld hot and steamy lunch. You know what we’re talking about: the winter sandwich. The best ones are saucy, cheesy and come in a giant portions. Here are a few of our favorites below.

The Great Balls of Fire meat ball sandwich (RMB 60) is one of our favorite sandwiches, ever. It’s especially good on a chilly day. Count on the rich tomato sauce and melty cheese topped meatballs on garlic buttery bread to fill you up. We don’t even mind eating while we walk down the street on a chilly day. It serves double duty warming both your hands and your soul.
