3 Bund Happy Hours You Should Hit Hard
If you're trying to watch your wallet these days, you might shudder at the thought of 'drinks on the bund,' but you shouldn't! Here are three places offering happy hours that are amazing, accessible and affordable.
Glam
Glam has just launched a new happy hour and it is fantastic. They have classic drinks to keep you “very happy” such as house wines, aperol spritz and Tsingtao for RMB 48 plus some newly designed cocktails meant to feature some of our favorite gins: Peddlers, G’Vine and Crimson Pangolin, etc.
Shanghai Dream features Peddlers infused with Shanghai Dream Tea, elderflower liquor, Kuei Hua Chen Chew (floral baijiu) lime juice and egg white
James Bond Martini is a Glam rift on an old standard
Glamolini Pangolin is a refreshing mix of gin with grenadine, lime, cucumber and fizzy water
You will probably get peckish while taking advantage of these great deals, so they have snacks to keep your “belly happy” for RMB 28. All around happy at Glam from 5-7pm daily.
Who doesn’t want to snack on parmesan cheese and honeycomb?
Truffled cheese toastie is also a great snack
Sante Tonic is flavored with grapefruit, chamomile and rosemary
Address: 7/F, No. 5 on The Bund, 20 Guangdong Lu

Happy Hour: Daily, 5pm-7pm
Editor's note: They will not be doing happy hour from March 15th to 28th due to the Shanghai International Literary Festival which they are hosting for the 16th year. But you should still go check that out.
Hakkasan
While it’s not a daily affair, Hakkasan does a weekly deal that is well worth checking out. Every Wednesday they host Hakkatini Nights and discount selected seasonal drinks to RMB 48 (plus 10% service charge) from 7pm to late. In addition, they have a live DJ plus pipa artist to make sure the party is hopping. Free flow canapes and petit fours basically makes Wednesday our new favorite day of the week.
Pacific Sour is a whiskey and umeshu based tipple
This season, Matthew Hall has been inspired by his love for Shanghai with two new cocktails: Pacific Sour and At Ti Laig. The former is whiskey and umeshu plus grape, spoked pum syrup, vanilla and lime while the latter is a unique combination of rum, huangjiu, truffle honey and pandan nectar. Try them both next Wednesday!

Pop
The restaurant often praised for its awesome terrace will soon be know citywide for its excellent new happy hour with a fun selection of selected cocktails sold two-for-one. That’s double the fun.
Expect exciting selections such as the ginseng old fashioned (RMB 98) with mixes ginseng soju with bourbon, grapefruit and soda for a drink that’s hard to forget. We also like the sound of the San Francisco sour (RMB 88) with gin and yuzu.
Some new drinks have been created just for the happy hour such as the Calistoga Spring, Georgia Peach and Raspberry RUMMMbler (pictures from L to R above), that we can’t wait to try.
