New Art Installation Puts You Inside a Cloud
A new exhibition in Duo Yun Xuan Art Museum will literally put you in the clouds.
Ok, well, maybe not literally, but close enough. The 3-floor gallery is filled with over 2500㎡ of cloud-inspired installation art, very much in the spirit of Yuz Museum’s famous rain room or Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room (check those out if you've never heard of them because they're incredible).
Unique Cloud House
The most beautiful artwork of this exhibition is probably the indoor "cloud house," which was designed by artist JUJU WANG, who got the inspiration in Yunnan, and even constructed the the work using Dai paper from Yunnan.
And there’s another masterpiece by JUJU WANG - Golden Snow, on the first floor. She created 22 huge snowflakes with Chinese traditional gold foil.
Converted Shipping Containers Become Art Rooms
One of the most fun (and most Instagram-worthy) areas of the exhibition come in the form of two repurposed shipping containers, which have been converted into themed mini art spaces.
There's plenty more art on floors two and three, not quite as immersive as the installations on the first floor but still well-worth checking out.
