Price Guide for Not Get Ripped Off at Flower Shops

2018-03-17 Jenny Ren ShanghaiWOWeng

Spring is finally here! It’s the perfect time to get some fresh flowers to decorate your home or workplace, or even to buy for a special someone. If you happen to have a flower shop nearby your place, why not check it out?

In most flower shops you can buy individual flowers and create your own bouquet, it’s much cheaper than getting a pre-made one. The shop owners are usually happy to wrap it for you for free.

Flowers in those shops are different depending on the season, and prices fluctuate as well. We recently visited a shop to find out which flowers were available and, most importantly, what they should cost. The prices below are by a single flower.

Ranunculus RMB 5

Violet RMB 8

Perfume Lily RMB 15

Rose RMB 6-RMB 15

Carnation RMB 10

Sunflower RMB 10

Freesia RMB 15

Daisy RMB 6

Imported Tulip RMB 20

Hydrangea RMB 30- RMB 60

Eustoma RMB 15

Bellflower RMB 20

Also keep in mind that there are many fresh flower subscription services in Shanghai, which will deliver =bouquets to your house every week. They don’t cost as much as you might think, so if you're too lazy to visit a shop in person, try it out!
