5 Amazing Ways To Unwind
When it comes to relaxing, Shanghai can be a fast-paced city that makes slowing down a little difficult on occasion. If you’re looking for a few relaxing alternatives to getting smashed at brunch and/or clubbing until 5am then there are plenty of options out there.
Mindfulness

You can try taking a mindfulness class with Brandon from Shanghai Mindfulness. These classes are held semi-regularly on a Saturday and take two hours. They set you up with everything you need to know to start your mindful meditation journey. This class is an amazing option because it gives you an opportunity to bring relaxation and clarity into your everyday life.

Floating has to be the coolest way to relax. Go and plonk yourself down, naked as the day you were born, in a tank filled with minerally rich water. You float about like a baby in the womb. It’s great for your skin, it’s great for your mind and you emerge feeling reborn.
Massage

Getting a massage is probably the most relaxing way to recharge. With hundreds of massage places all over the city, we're quite spoiled with options. We strongly recommend the massages at Dragonfly, which are absolutely delightful. There are plenty of Dragonflys locations throughout the city, so it has never been easier to treat yourself.
Yoga

If you’re looking for some stretchy relaxation then you can’t beat a bit of yoga. There are countless places all over the city that you can practice. We’re good friends with the people that run BYMB, a really cool platform that hosts yoga classes in AMAZING locations all over the city (think rooftops and terraces, etc.), so be sure to try them out!
Parks
Address: 3398 Longteng Avenue
Get yourself to one of Shanghai's many parks and get down with nature. There are plenty of parks where you can take a picnic blanket and have a lie down with your book, a snack and a glass of wine. If you have a pet in tow, we would recommend the dog park at the west bund. Get yourself out there and picnic!
