The Return of Bagels and New Late-Night Donuts!
Last month saw a number of comings and goings throughout Shanghai's F&B scene, and one closure that had expats tearing up was that of Spread the Bagel on Nanchang Lu. However, despite the abrupt closure, Spread the Bagel have made their comeback just a few weeks later with a pop-up store at Gracie's on Xiangyang Lu to satisfy all your bagel cravings.
Spread the Bagel
Address: 174 Xiangyang Lu
Hours: 8am-8pm
At the moment they're offering a limited menu of just their best-selling bagel sandwiches on the first floor of the venue, but they're also now back on Sherpa's if you're needing to feed a craving from home.
Another pop-up catering to our guilty pleasure is Happy Ending - the late-night fantasy and rainbow-sprinkled love child of three Shanghai-swelling donut dreamers - Andrew Moo, Clara Davis and chef Maris Brasil Marotta.
In other pop-up news, this is something all you pastry lovers are going to be super happy about...
