Crazy Rich Asians is Coming to China!
The Warner Bros. summer hit Crazy Rich Asians has landed a lucrative release date in China the world’s second biggest film-market.
After weeks of uncertainty, Chinese regulators revealed on Monday that the film will open on November 30th 2018.
When Warner Bros. didn’t hear back from Beijing’s regulators office about the film over the summer, some analysts began to speculate that the romantic comedy had been rejected by the country's censors, possibly due to the overt celebration of decadence and ostentatious wealth.
Others speculated that the film might be caught up in a regulatory backlog caused by recent changes at China's Film Bureau, the result of which was a more cautious and slower-moving approvals process.

Warner Bros., meanwhile, maintained that it had heard no final ruling and remained optimistic. Well done Warner Bros. you were correct!
Crazy Rich Asians, starring Constance Wu and Henry Golding tells the story of:
‘Rachel Chu (Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor, who travels to her boyfriend Nick's (Golding) hometown of Singapore for his best friend's wedding. Before long, his secret is out: Nick is from a family that is impossibly wealthy, he's perhaps the most eligible bachelor in Asia, and every single woman in his ultra-rarefied social class is incredibly jealous of Rachel and wants to bring her down.’ –IMDb

It has received mixed reviews from critics and fans with The New York Times asking ‘Why Did It Take So Long to See a Cast Like This?’ but many people claim that it’s a film with shallow morals that promote gold digging. Either way, from watching the trailer we think it looks like one hell of a good time!
