Seven “Art Spaces”
Line 14 is convenient for Shanghai residents.
It has a total of 31 stations, and allows transfer to 13 other lines.
7 key stations have been turned into “art spaces” as well”.
Yuyuan Station has a "Pulse of Shanghai" theme and was jointly created by ToMASTER and architect Xiong Xing.
Yuyuan Station will likely be featured as one of the most beautiful subway stations in the world.
Parametric Design
Xiong Xing designed the top flows as river curves, which evoke a sense of movement.
The flows in whole resemble Chenghuang Temple and connect landmarks around the station.
Each surface uses parametric design.
The curves cleverly cover the pipes located on the top of the ceiling.
Color-Changing Lights
The ceiling changes colors continuously.
The ceiling is fitted with a three-dimensional LED installation that changes colors or plays multimedia images using lights.
When the train arrives at the station, the lights automatically sense changes.
Many local residents have rushed out to take a trip on Line 14. Go and feel “Pulse of Shanghai”.
