A 5-Day Lockdown Is On the Way for Everyone in Shanghai

Pudong Goes First
The authority announced that Shanghai is going to implement a nucleic acid screening to the entire population with a 5-day lockdown. And it is divided into two groups with the Huangpu River as the boundary.
The east side of the river, which includes Pudong New Area, Fengxian District, Jinshan District, Chongming District, Minhang District Pujin Street, Pujiang Town, Songjiang District Xinbang Town, Shihudang District Town, Maogang Town, Yexie Town, will be in lockdown and have a nucleic acid screening from 5am on March 28 to 5:00 on April 1. The west side of the Huangpu River will be in lockdown and have a nucleic acid screening from 3am on April 1 to 3am on April 5.
While in lockdown, delivery is allowed but delivery staff can’t enter compounds. All public transportation will be suspended.

This morning, Shanghai reported 45 locally transmitted cases and 2631 local asymptomatic cases. In total of the 2676 new local cases, 286 were not in quarantine.
