News! Shanghai Digital Pass & Work Resumption Permit Are Coming

At today's press conference, Shanghai announced the implementation of "limited activities to limited number of people in limited areas" policy for districts that have basically achieved zero COVID-19 community transmission.

Yesterday, people found that two new icons were added in Suishenma, aka health code. And these two new functions are very likely to be related to the future opening up in Shanghai.

New Icons Secretly Added in Health Code

Digital Pass and Work Resumption Permit

At the bottom of the health code, there are four icons. If you swipe left, you’ll find these two new icons with the name of Fugongzheng (work resumption permit) and Tongxingzheng (pass).

At present, the two functions have not been officially opened for use yet. We assume that they will be directly related to each person's community status and nucleic acid test results.

Some Companies Have Resumed Work

A few days ago, Shanghai released a “whitelist”, allowing 666 enterprises to resume production. 70% of the 666 enterprises have resumed production already, including Tesla and SAIC MOTOR.

The launch of the digital pass and work resumption permit seems to be a further step for the full resumption of production and work in Shanghai!
