Shanghai sweat fest: Sweltering temperatures to continue

In case you've spent the last few days sat in an air conditioned room or you're literally a broken thermometer, you may have noticed it is absolutely boiling outside – and things aren't letting up.
According to Kankan News Shanghai, temperatures this week are set to stay comfortably (or should we say uncomfortably) above 30 degrees Celsius, with today hitting 34 (there is some rain anticipated, too) and the rest of week expected to reach as high as 37.
And it doesn't stop there. The average temperature in the city is most likely going to remain above 30 degrees up until August 12. That's a whole month of sweating through your shirt, spending hours walking around malls to escape the heat, and being too scared to ride the bus in case the AC isn't working.
There are of course several ways to battle these ungodly temperatures: You can try Shanghai's best frozen drinks; take a dip in the one of the city's swimming pools; gorge on some wacky ice cream flavours; sleep with one leg hanging out of the bed; sleep with two legs hanging out of the bed; sleep with no bed; or just don't sleep at all.
