Get fit and help puppies in need at Ride for Rescues
If you're the type of person who needs an exceptional excuse to work out then it's your lucky day: Ride for Rescues is back for its third event to raise money for animals in need of veterinary care.
This Sunday (August 27), animal-loving nonprofit pet-sitting service Spare Leash is hosting a spin session for a bark-fect cause at Z&B Fitness (Shaanxi Bei Lu). While you're sweating off all those Tsingtao calories, you can rest assured that your agony is going to improve the life of a scruffy pooch somewhere with all proceeds from the event going Rose's Rescue – a volunteer-based organisation that pairs homeless or abused animals looking for foster parents with humans who can give them the love they need.
The funds raised from the spin session will go towards veterinary fees for dogs in need of urgent care after the likes of road accidents, or those who have been rescued from the meat trade.
