You're back at work after Golden Week and we assume you aren't over the moon about it. JZ Festival 2017
On the bill are the likes of Kool and the Gang, Andy Summers (former guitarist for The Police) and Chris Dave and the Drumhedz as JZ Festival returns to its regular stomping ground of recent years, the Expo Garden Park beside Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Bar Rouge's 13th anniversary

Earl Gateshead and Dan Wiltshire
Heavy HK brings the legendary roots reggae ambassador Earl Gateshead (from the Trojan Records Sound System) and seasoned DJ Dan Wiltshire (founder of the UK's largest reggae festival) to Shanghai, with support from Far East Lion and Blood Dunza.

W Shanghai welcomes queer-friendly, good times British disco collective Horse Meat Disco to Shanghai for one of their last rooftop parties before the colder weather really bites. Shanghai Rolex Masters 2017
One of the biggest dates on the ATP World Tour, the 2017 Shanghai Rolex Masters will be showcasing some of the world’s premier tennis talent, including Roger Federer and recently crowned US Open champion Rafael Nadal.

Mega Yoga

The Hitman's Bodyguard
As action-comedy premises go, this one isn’t so bad: Ryan Reynolds plays a bodyguard assigned to protect Samuel L. Jackson’s hitman. Both actors have impressive credentials in the genre and a winning way with a wisecracking one-liner. The movie delivers on that for fans of Deadpool and Pulp Fiction.

The Foreigner
In this action-thriller, grieving father Quan’s (Jackie Chan) relentless quest for his daughter’s killers sees him in a game of cat and mouse with a British government official Liam Hennessy (Pierce Brosnan), whose own murky past may hold the answers Quan is chasing.

Sky Ladder
Cai Guo-Qiang is arguably modern China’s first international art star, best known for his ‘explosion events’: massive fireworks displays that elevate traditional gunpowder culture to the artist’s exacting aesthetic standards. 'Sky Ladder' is the name of Cai’s masterwork, a half-kilometre-long, vertical lattice of fire and smoke, 21 years in the making – it’s also the title of a documentary about Cai’s life and oeuvre, that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016, before receiving a wider release on Netflix and is now at cinemas across Shanghai.

Hello, My Name is Paul Smith is a touring exhibition showcasing the fashion designer's journey in building his company, as well as his stylistic tastes and eye for design. It combines the artistic and the business aspects of running a fashion brand and gives the audience a glimpse into the designer's world, helping people understand the interactions between operating within an industry as a business and within the fashion world as a designer and artist.

Antony Gormley: Still Moving
The Long Museum presents British artist Antony Gormley's first major exhibition in China. The exhibition features Antony's three installation pieces: 'Critical Mass (II)' (1995), 'Breathing Room' (2012), and 'Passage II' (2017); four suspended sculptural works (2008-2012); and a variety of works on paper (1981-2016).
