'Arts and community events' could refer to anything. One could say there is a certain art to alcoholism, and that drinking is a community. Not in this context, though. Acrobuffos: Air Play
A circus-style adventure from Acrobuffos, Air Play tells the story of two siblings journeying through a surreal land of air, transforming the ordinary into objects of uncommon beauty. Fabrics dance in the wind, balloons have a mind of their own and confetti turns into the night sky.

M Talks China: Dancing Ballet in China
Ballet in China – where did it come from, what is it like today, and what happened between the two points in time? By highlighting a number of key ballets and using photographs and footage, professor Eva Chou will provide an overview of ballet’s course over the decades.

Women Up! x CADVN Series I
This will be the first of the event series hoping to inform and create dialogue about violence against women, queer women and trans people. Women Up! will showcase three prominent leaders in the community who are already conducting work or projects related to domestic violence.

Public Awareness Day with Hands On Shanghai
Hands On Shanghai will bring together volunteers from every corner of town for what is called 'a marathon of community service'. The event is supported by community-based NGOs and wider organisations to break the taboo on physical and mental disability issues and help those who suffer from prejudice and social injustices. Haipai Fashion in the 1900s
Shoubai Art Center presents Li Shaobai's new exhibition 'Haipai Fashion in the 1900s', the third series in the unit exhibition 'Yi Shi Zhu Xing'. Featuring paintings that depict woman fashion in the 1900s, this exhibition focuses on exploring the changes and development of Qipao or Cheongsam (English derivation of Cantonese for Qipao) during the 20th century.
