Slutty for cheese? Dig into one of these sexy dishes

The Beach House


Now that the infamous cheese ban is lifted, you need not forage for fromage. Curdle up under a warm blanket of gooey bliss at one of these ten places.


Co. Cheese



Dedicated to toasties, toasties and more toasties, Co. Cheese does dozens of grilled cheeses oozing with cheddar, american, brie, blue and more. Stuff them with hearty add-ins ranging from buffalo chicken to Kraft mac and cheese.

La Cabane



This fromage-centric French bistro thrives on the most quintessential thing for cheese tramps – fondue. Served bubbling over fire, it’s a divine melted mix of French cheeses, white wine and garlic served with crusty bread for dipping. Go for the 'extra' size for 300g of bliss.

Pelikan



The Nordic eatery serves a soft and strong slab of warm Pont L’eveque cheese with thick slices of fruit, seed bread (pan-fried in brown butter) and a bowl of blossom honey loaded with toasted coriander seeds for a peppery crunch. It’s sweet and savoury, stinky and just brilliant.

Le Saleya



If you don’t know raclette, it’s time you met this semi-hard cheese. When done Swiss style, they heat the wheel and scrape the melty bit over potatoes and meats. Every Sunday night, Le Saleya does a raclette free-flow for 240RMB with cold cuts, potatoes and salad.

Glam



These guys know how to elevate the usual bar snacks: Glam’s Truffle’d Cheese Toasties pack an earthy punch of truffle between triangles of freshly baked brioche, parmesan and the cheese pick of the day.

The Beach House



Prepared tableside in a 30kg wheel of aged parmesan, softened by brandy-fuelled flames, every strand of linguine in The Beach House’s lobster pasta gets a thick coating of salty cheese and garlic.

Gemma



For burrata that will hit all your pleasure centres, look no further than Gemma. It’s freshly made and held for no more than three days so you always get a perfect pouch of cream and buffalo mozzarella.

Mr & Mrs Bund



Unwrapping the Truffle Petit Camembert here gives you a peek into Ultraviolet’s UVA cheese sequence, ‘MV Calvamembert’. Slice upon slice of Yunnan black truffles (currently in their peak season) layered atop a warm wheel of the soft French cheese.

Bordertown



It’s surprisingly hard to find a good serving of Mexican-style queso dip here, but new spot Bordertown does it right: its base of mild cheddar, milk and green chillis cooked down over low heat comes with or without smoky chorizo, and then you can plop on cheesy refried beans or guacamole.

Homeslice



Sure, there’s lotsa cheese at every pizza joint, but the white pizza at Homeslice can put any four cheese slice to shame: fermented dough slathered in parmesan cream sauce and topped with loads of mozzarella and healthy dollops of ricotta.
