Topshop is opening a Shanghai store this autumn

Rule Britannia: British highstreet clothing brand Topshop is set to open its first Mainland China flagship store in Shanghai this coming September after its Chinese franchise was acquired by Beijing online retailer Shanghpin.com.

According to Fashion United, the three-level store (spanning around 36,000-square-feet) will be on Huaihai Zhong Lu – with construction on the location already underway.

This could be the start of Topshop's China domination, as according to China Daily, Shangpin.com has revealed its intentions of opening 100 Topshop and Topman locations across China over the course of the next five years.
