Hunting with Eagles: In the Realm of the Mongolian Kazakhs

March 18 at 12pm

Photographer Palani Mohan is the author of six books and his works have been published all over the world. For his project, Hunting with Eagles, Mohan followed the 'burkitshi' – the nomadic Kazakh eagle-hunters living in the harsh Altai mountains of western Mongolia – for four years. Mohan's powerful photographs capture the bond between man and eagle, the hunter's families and the stark mountain range where they live and hunt. It's a fascinating series that offers an insight into this culture that is under threat by its unforgiving climate. 85RMB; 40RMB (students).
