What is it? Modern Sky’s annual Labour Day weekend festival, featuring a line-up of pop and hip hop acts.

Where is it? It is making its first appearance at Shanghai Community Sports Club (also known as Shanghai Rugby Club, near Zhouhai Lu station), ending its long run at the former Expo site.

When is it? Sunday 29-Tuesday 1.

Who is playing? International acts include alt-J, Liars, Habibi, and Mystery Lights, plus Japanese outfits Wednesday Campanella and the fin, while the usual slew of Modern Sky acts will see the likes of New Pants and Re-TROs take the stage. Also look out for Chinese cult odd-folk outfit Wood Pushing Melon.

How much is it? A general admission ticket for Sunday is 350RMB. Monday and Tuesday tickets are sold out, as are three-day passes, so you’ll have to go on Sunday or try your luck with the scalpers who will surely be hanging around outside… not that we’d recommend it.
