Life in Color

Retired NBA star and generally whimsical giant-person Shaquille O'Neal is coming to Shanghai as DJ Diesel. He's going to be the physically largest headlining DJ of Life in Color, a Holi-without-Hinduism colour party where folks go nuts and splash each other with paint and then return to the real world so us normies can think, 'Ah, that human tie-dye was at a colour party.' Knife Party, Krewalla, Chace, Dante Klein and Parker will also take the stage.

This Grammy-nominated alternative rock outfit from North London is on a China tour this summer. If you like grunge, folk, 90s indie and/or electronic music, Wolf Alice will have something for you since they mix all that together into a catchy and exciting sound.

Even passing fans of Hayao Miyazaki animated films should enjoy live orchestration of tracks from his most popular features. Hear music from Laputa: Castle in the Sky, as well as Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke and the Oscar-winning Spirited Away.

MISA9: Opening Concert

The ninth Music in the Summer Air festival opens with a concert featuring conductor Jaap van Zweden, violinist Renaud Capuçon and the New York Philharmonic. They will play Bernstein: Serenade and Mahler's Symphony No 5.
