The famous graffiti wall on Moganshan Lu has been facing the possibility of demolition since 2011. Now it looks like the wall has hit its expiration date, as all non-commissioned street art eventually does in this ever-changing city.
The following footage has been making the rounds on WeChat with no attribution.

The area has undergone a number of changes over the years. For some time now, it's been known as M50 Creative Park, where artists and art foundations took over old industrial buildings to use as studios and galleries. Now, however, the district has big plans to turn M50, and its surrounding area, into an art-themed luxury retail and lifestyle district, according to SHINE.
And so, the Moganshan Lu graffiti wall has no choice but to make way for a much-anticipated architectural feat that will also be a shopping mall – the 1000 Trees building.

Looks like it's gonna be pretty cool, trees and all.
