It's the best time of the week – the end of it. There are loads of great things to do in Shanghai this weekend, as well as watching the World Cup, of course. Read on for our top ten picks.


The Rooster's 5th Annual Charity Scooter Wash

The Rooster's Annual Scooter Wash, from which all proceeds will go to Heart 2 Heart Shanghai. The wash (by volunteers) is 100RMB and includes a free beer. There will also be over 10,000RMB worth of raffle prizes to be won.

NTS Radio Live from Shanghai

A fantastic afternoon line-up for NTS Radio Live from Shanghai, with Yehaiyahan (aka ChaCha) playing a live set from 3pm, followed by a Chinese film soundtrack special in honour of Shanghai International Film Festival from China Social Club.

Commune Market

Commune Market returns with stalls from Shanghai's creatives, offering goers a chance to snatch up some unique designs from local artisans, painters and jewellery makers. There'll also be bites, booze, beats, a kids corner and more.

Snap! Rainbow Disco

Snap! Shanghai celebrates Pride Month with an all-night disco and pop party, presented with Levis and Absolut. DJs Fanboy and Fat K on the decks, and all door entry profits going to PFLAG China, an LGBT advocacy group.

Around The World with Chef Danyi: Turkey

Fly to Turkey and return the same night. Shake presents a four-course Turkish menu served with a curated playlist of Turkish funk, followed by live music and dancing. This is the third edition of rising chef Danyi Gao's monthly supper club, inspired by her travels to 32 countries and counting.

Kurt Dunsing: Joke Me, Daddy

China International Comedy Festival runner-up Kurt Dunsing headlines Kung Fu Komedy for the first time. The hilarious Chicagoan will be supported by Ben Frank, Byron Murphy, Jorge Castellanos, Norah Yang and host Mohammed Magdi.

The Jungle at Bar Rouge
