10 awesome things to do this weekend

Photograph: William Rouse via Unsplash

The word 'weekend' doesn't come from combining the 'week' and 'end' like the intuitive logic might have you believe. It actually comes from 'weakened', as in 'this week has me so weakened that I need to attend a boat party, a night of Beyoncé, standup comedy, a rooftop party or some other mess or I will... be late for work on Monday.' Anyways, here's some top stuff to do this weekend.

All Dwayne Johnson wants to do is live in his Hong Kong mega-tower in peace – so why won't these terrorists let him do it? Sounds like an updated Die Hard, but don't underestimate our love of Die Hard – the greatest Christmas movie of all time.
