Shanghai's long-running jazz fest has announced its line-up and put tickets on sale today (Wednesday 1 August), as well as confirming a new location for 2018.

After years putting on their festival beside Mercedes-Benz Arena on the former Expo site in Pudong, they're hopping across the Huangpu to host this year's festival from Saturday 22 to Sunday 23 September at the 'West Bund' area, near the Yuz Museum and southern Xuhui's burgeoning art district.

As for the acts performing, they've booked in The Original Gypsies (featuring former members of the Gipsy Kings), Branford Marsalis Quartet, Tia Ray, Li Quan and the JZ All Stars, Andrea Motis Quintet, The Cubop City Big Bband, Jazzrausch Big Band, Richard Manetti Quartet, Lu1 featuring Nomad Studio Session, and Matzka.

Yeah, not quite the line-up of previous years. But there's always a nice family-friendly atmosphere at JZ so at least there's that. Hopefully they'll be able to maintain it at the new site. One thing they will be sticking with from previous years is putting the main acts on both Saturday and Sunday nights, so you get two chances to catch your favourites or you can just pick one day to attend and do something else with the rest of your weekend.

Tickets are already on sale starting at 285RMB for an early-bird single day pass; presale weekend passes will set you back 588RMB a pop.
