As we all know, millions of tons of plastic and other junk get tossed out every year and our less-than-sustainable habits are the culprit. If you want to start on the path to a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, Zer'0Waste Shanghai's upcoming workshops might come in useful.

The eco-living consulting company is organising 12 zero waste workshops for beginners this year. The first ones are taking place this week, with spots for the three-hour '#IamZeroWaste: Saving the Planet by Reducing My Waste' workshop – which will give pointers on achieving an almost rubbish-free home, and offer tricks for producing less waste and actually saving money doing it – on Saturday (Feb 23) still available.

The next set of workshops take place on Friday 1 (a second session of #IamZeroWaste) and Sunday 3, where you'll learn the ins and outs of composting and receive all the materials you'll need to get started composting at home. During both sessions, Zer’0Waste Shanghai will also put you in touch with brands committed to making sustainable products.

The workshops cost 450RMB for one day and 750RMB for two, and both include a starter kit that'll get you well on your way to living your best eco-friendly life.

📍Agora Space, Bldg 9, 1199 Panyu Lu, near Kaixuan Lu. Sat 23, Fri 1 Mar, Sun 3 Mar. 9.30am-12.30pm. 400-750RMB. Extract the QR code to buy tickets.
