It’s the first post-Golden Week weekend and you’re already hungry for something fun to do, right? We’ve got you covered. Spanish National Day at El Willy

It's Spanish National Day this Saturday (Oct 12), so head to El Willy for a fiesta featuring the restaurant's new Salvador Dalí-inspired menu. Expect homemade ox sausages, tuna belly, scallops and caviar, ending on a sweet note with a crispy, creamy hazelnut tart with chestnut ice cream.

Shanghai Secret Disco

To accommodate all of Shanghai's disconauts, boogie queens and funk masters, Shanghai Secret Disco has moved to MAO Livehouse's Electronic Studio. Maintaining its house party vibe, DJs CFP, Just Selections, Lev Zep and Kougar will take you on a discosmic adventure while groovy hostess Queen Yi sets the mood.

The Imaginarium of Oz

The Imaginarium of Oz is an immersive art exhibition and a modern twist on The Wizard of Oz. Comprised of eight different multimedia installations created by South Korean pop artists, the colourful exhibition takes you through Dorothy’s adventure in Oz.

Stand Up Comedy: Girls' Night Out

It’s a girls’ night out at Cages this Saturday as the Shanghai Comedy Bunker lays on an all-female stand-up comedy show, featuring Magners Comedy Competition finalist Casey Li Brander, Hei Now Comedy co-founder Erica Switzer and Mamahuhu's Norah Yang. Tickets come with one free drink.

Song of the Goat Theatre: Songs of Lear

Songs of Lear is a multi-award-winning music theatre performance that presents Shakespeare’s tragedy in a choral song cycle. The ensemble members have chosen crucial scenes from King Lear to weave a story out of gestures, words and music. Each song is a starting point for another ‘dramatic poem’.

Bob Dylan Retrospectrum

Music, art and Bob Dylan fans alike can find common ground as the world's largest collection of the iconic singer-songwriter's art has landed in Shanghai. Bob Dylan: Retrospectrum contains more than 300 mementos from the musician's life, including oil paintings, sculptures, handwritten lyrics, sketches and manuscripts dating as far back as the 1960s.

Linkin Park Tribute Concert

It’s been two years since the world lost Linkin Park’s lead vocalist Chester Bennington, and The Pearl is doing a tribute to him and the band. It will cover all the hits, including ‘Papercut’, ‘Faint’, ‘Breaking the Habit’ and ‘Somewhere I Belong’.

Love Bang: Catch & Scratch Opening & Sudden Closing Party

Elevator presents another Love Bang party. This time it’s Catch & Scratch, a high-energy affair with bangin' club music until 5am.

Haxnbauer Oktoberfest

German restaurant and bar Haxnbauer brings Oktoberfest to Shanghai until Sun 20. There will be free-flow beer every day from 7 to 11pm and a variety of Oktoberfest platters to celebrate the beloved German tradition. The event is happening at all Haxnbauer locations.
