名无虚 vs. 黄任强，听起来好洪荒的乐队组合

每年的爵士上海音乐节，都会出现一些名字让人匪夷所思的乐队组合，比如今天要跟大家介绍的名无虚 vs. 黄任强。

他们其实是两个乐队，是由享誉国际的三位中国现代派音乐大师闵小芬、吴巍、徐凤霞，以及三位著名爵士音乐家任宇清、黄健怡、Jhonny Joseph，共六位音乐家所组成的一支融合东西方音乐元素的自由即兴超级音乐企划。

“名无虚”，听上去洪荒又上古，于2009年2月10日在荷兰Amsterdam成立，借由闵小芬－吴巍－徐凤霞的名字来诠释道家“万物皆无为而有为”的思想。多年来三位音乐家辛勤耕耘在世界艺术的舞台上，在与世界不同的艺术家合作中，接触了广泛的艺术领域，从世界音乐到创作现代自由即兴音乐，这支由纯中国乐器组合的自由即兴乐团，除了对本身的乐器不断发掘更新的演奏技术，还把人声巧妙的运用在乐器的组合中，开发出新的音乐语汇，使人们体会音乐的无边无际。他们的演奏做到了在继承传统的基础上，与作曲家合作创作新作品，用中国民族乐器的自由即兴呈献中国文化，同时参与世界现代艺术的发展，扎实的民族音乐和地方戏曲，文学，诗歌基础给予了他们创作的源泉，也形成了独特的个性艺术。这支中国现代音乐的先锋乐团曾在荷兰，瑞典，奥地利，美国等地受邀演出，备受赞誉。

其实是三个人名的缩写：爵士贝司音乐家、爵士上海音乐节创办人任宇清先生+中国首位爵士钢琴硕士、爵士钢琴演奏家黄健怡+毛里求斯的鼓手Jhonny Joseph。他们在2016爵士上海音乐节特别邀请“名无虚”三重奏共同合作，以东西方不同的音乐元素，自由即兴的演绎方式，共同呈现这个超级融合音乐企划。

一个神秘，一个自在，碰撞出什么火花我们拭目以待。

国际知名琵琶演奏家闵小芬

闵小芬，中国著名二胡大师闵慧芬的妹妹，是国际上公认用琵琶来演奏和诠释现代音乐及爵士音乐的权威演奏家。2004年, 她是第一位中国音乐家授邀演出于加拿大举办的Toronto IAJE International Conference / 多伦多国际爵士音乐教育会演，并荣获“杰出爵士教育使者”殊荣。同年, 她也是第一位被纽约林肯中心邀请用中国琵琶来演奏美国著名爵士作曲家TheloniousMonk 作品的民樂演奏家。

知名现代派笙演奏家吴巍

旅德音乐家吴巍是活跃于当今国际乐坛的现代派笙演奏家, 中国民族管弦乐协会笙专业委员会名誉理事, 德国世界民族音乐协会, 音乐家协会会员及音像版权协会会员, 德国亚洲艺术室内乐团艺术总监, 上海东方学者, 上海音乐学院特聘教授。

知名三弦古筝演奏家徐凤霞

徐凤霞出生在上海,7岁向民间老艺人学习琵琶，1978年10月向上海音乐学院附中诸城学习三弦，1980年入上海音乐学院从师于著名教育家李乙教授（三弦,古筝)。同时古琴拜师与演奏大师卫仲乐先生、林友人教授与古琴泰斗张子谦先生，并向胡凳跳学习作曲。1984年“上海之春“举办首届徐凤霞民族乐器独奏音乐会。她不仅在民族乐器独奏有着高深的独到之处,同时更为继承传统音乐为本,拜师与北方说唱大鼓传人白凤霖,学习梅花大鼓，和京韵大鼓。徐凤霞不断在发展，创新，改变自己的音乐语汇，把中国地方戏曲语言，锣鼓经念白，蒙古人声呼麦，西藏经诵等民族特色音乐元素揉合在爵士的节奏里，在中国乐器特有的音响里形成了自己独特的人声乐器组合，观众会在她的实况表演上会深深感受到天，地，人合一，东，南，西，北无界线的交响音画。

中国首位爵士钢琴硕士黄健怡

爵士钢琴演奏家、作曲家、教育家黄健怡，是融合爵士乐队J3三重奏的创建人和键盘手，乐队受邀在全国各大爵士现场和音乐节，包括爵士上海音乐节，北京九门国际爵士节，西湖音乐节，西湖花朵音乐季，北京国际爵士周，上海帕玛强尼国际爵士周，内蒙古草原音乐狂欢节等，新疆丝路音乐节。他参与录制的唱片包含EMI发行的《上海爵士》、在中国和北美发行的赵可能性乐队专辑《梦境》、德国爵士口琴演奏家JensBunge专辑《Shanghai Blue》、以及J3乐队的专辑《红人》。2015年J3乐队及新专辑《红人》获得首届华人爵士大奖最佳乐队及最佳fusion唱片奖。

中国贝司演奏家任宇清

任宇清，贝司演奏家，中国顶级爵士品牌JZMusic创始人。他用爵士和世界沟通，让爵士在中国成为生活的一部分，也让爵士在中国越来越多的城市萌芽! 他让越来越多的国际顶级爵士音乐家认识了中国爵士的蓬勃发展，也引领海纳百川的中国爵士走向世界！

毛里求斯打击乐演奏家Jhonny Joseph

Jhonny Joseph, 来自毛里求斯的知名音乐家、鼓手、编曲人。在毛里求斯，他是炙手可热的鼓手／打击乐音乐家，并与许多音乐名家合作如Neshen Teeroovengadum、Ernest Wiehe （伯克利音乐学院教师）、Belingo Faro、Eric Triton、Damien Elisa等等。

MWX vs. HRJ

-The superb improvisation from the fusion of Eastern and Western musical elements

MWX vs. HRJ is a collaboration between the three internationally renowned Chinese modernist-music musicians Min Xiao Fen, Wu Wei, Xu Feng Xia, and the three famous Chinese jazz musicians Ren Yu Qing, Huang Jian Yi, and Jhonny Joseph. The six of them together create a fusion of Eastern and Western musical elements highlighted by superb free improvisation.

MWX was formed in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on February 10th of 2009. The name is a collection of the surnames of Min Xiao Fen, Wu Wei, and Xu Feng Xia as an interpretation of the Taoist ideology of thinking. The trio has attempted to show the endless boundaries of music and musical application through their collaborations with many of the world’s different artists to include a wide range of art and influences, taking traditional Chinese instruments to create an orchestra performing free improvisations, as well as experimenting with the combination of the human voice with musical instruments. Their performances are based on using traditional Chinese instruments to create new improvised works that present the Chinese culture. Their source of inspiration comes from the world of modern art, their strong local opera scene and folk music, literature, and poetry, all serving to help form their unique artistic personality. These pioneers of Chinese modern music had been invited to perform in Netherlands, Sweden, Austria, and the United States, receiving much praise for their performances.
Ren Yu Qing, Jazz bass musician and a founder of the JZ Festival, has invited MWX to perform at the 2016 JZ Festival with him alongside China’s first Jazz pianist Huang Jian Yi and drummer Jhonny Joseph from Mauritius.

Internationally Renowned Pipa Virtuoso Min Xiao Fen

Min Xiao Feng, sister of Chinese Erhu master Min Hui Fen, is internationally recognized as a leader in the use of a pipa for the performance and interpretation of modernist and jazz music. In 2004, she was the first Chinese musician invited to perform at the Toronto IAJE International Conference/ Toronto Intentional Jazz Education Festival, where she won the “Outstanding Jazz Education Messenger” award. She was also invited to New York’s Lincoln Center to perform the works of famous Jazz composer Thelonius Monk using her pipa that same year.

Famous Modernist Sheng Virtuoso Wu Wei

Having lived and studied music in Germany, musician Wu Wei is active in the international music scene of today's modernist Sheng performers, an honorary director of the China National Orchestral Association sheng Professional Committee and the German Chamber Orchestra artistic director of Asian Art. He is also engaged in the Germany World Folk music Association, Musicians Association and the Association of Audiovisual Rights, while being a Shanghai Oriental scholar and Shanghai Conservatory of Music professor.

Famous guzheng And Three-stringed Lute Player Xu Feng Xia

Xu Feng Xia was born in Shanghai and began learning the pipa at age 7. She entered the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1980 and learned studied with the famous educator professor Li Yi in playing the guzheng and three-stringed lute. She had received tutorship from many great Chinese traditional instrument masters and incorporated her vast knowledge of traditional music, traditional instruments, and traditional opera in her jazz style of play; using them as influences.

China's first jazz piano master Huang Jian Yi

Huang Jian Yi is a pianist, composer, and educator who is the founder of fusion jazz trio J3 while serving as the bands keyboardist. The band has been invited to perform in many major jazz and music festivals, including Shanghai JZ Festival, Beijing Nine International Jazz Festival, West Lake Music Festival, West Lake Flower Music Festival, Beijing International Jazz Week, and many others. J3 and their new album “Red Man” won the first prize of Chinese Best Jazz Fusion Band and Best Album Award in 2015.

Chinese Bass Player Ren Yu Qing

Ren Yu Qing is a bassist and founder of China’s top Jazz brand in JZ Music. He wishes for jazz to become a part of life in China, and allow for jazz to grow and develop in more cities in China. He has let more and more of the top international Jazz musicians know that the jazz scene in China is booming, all the while introducing Chinese jazz to the rest of the world.

Mauritius Percussionist Jhonny Joseph

Jhonny Joseph is a famous musician, drummer, and composer. He is a very sought-after percussionist in Mauritius and has collaborated with many other musicians such as Neshen Teeroovengadum, Ernest Wiehe (Berklee College of Music teacher), Belingo Faro, Eric Triton, Damien Elisa and so on.
