The killer has been identified as Mevlut Mert Aydintas, a member of the Ankara riot police. It was not clear if he had links to any group.

In a video circulating on social media that shows the shooting, the gunman is heard shouting, "......Do not forget Aleppo! Do not forget Syria! "
网传图片显示，一个月前，该袭击者曾被土耳其总统埃尔多安接见。
事发后，土耳其总统埃尔多安谴责袭击行为，称这是对土耳其人民的攻击。

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in televised remarks. "The only response we should offer to this murder is stepping up our fight against terror, and the criminals will feel the heat."

德新社报道称，一辆重型卡车先是驶上人行道，然后高速冲向人群密集的圣诞市场，并继续行驶了50至80米距离。目击者称，卡车当时没有打开前灯。

Police confirmed that a passenger was found dead in the lorry(卡车). There are fears he may have been the original driver of the vehicle, and that he was subject to a hijacking(劫持).

这起枪击事件发生在当地时间17时30分左右，肇事者是一名大约30岁的男子。事件发生后，苏黎世警方封锁了事发清真寺周围区域并展开搜捕。
There was no indication who carried out the shooting but local media said the attacker had fled the scene.
