刚刚，庆祝中国人民解放军建军90周年阅兵在朱日和训练基地举行，中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平检阅部队并发表重要讲话。

Chinese President Xi Jinping reviewed the country's armed forces in the field on Sunday morning, as part of the commemorations to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). 

这是习主席首次在野战化条件下亲临沙场检阅部队。

It is the first time that President Xi, also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, observed such a massive parade staged in the field.

这也是新中国成立后我军首次以庆祝建军节为主题的盛大阅兵。

This is the first time that China commemorates the Army Day, which falls on Aug. 1, with a military parade since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
