香格纳M50 | 10月25日《土星照命》即将开幕

香格纳M50将于下周日10月25日荣幸呈现三位来自广州的女性艺术家秦晋、陈丹笛子、林钰屺的影像装置作品群展《土星照命》。

美国当代作家苏珊·桑塔格用“土星气质”来描画以本雅明为代表的这类思想家的精神肖像。土星是“一颗充满迂回曲折、耽搁停留的行星”，它携带着忧郁症和孤独症患者的特质，沉迷于宇宙孤独的漩涡之中，自我漫步、幻想、依赖于梦。三位艺术家的创作中恰恰都渗透着这种“土星式”的敏锐，陈丹笛子和林钰玘又曾师从秦晋，本文将带领大家从作品出发，挖掘她们各自独特的风格和内容。

秦晋 | Qin Jin

在秦晋的叙事中，记忆，作为往昔的重现，将一幕幕旅途中的平凡时刻变成一幅幅画面。时间在回忆中成了一种约束和不足，把对自我的回忆压缩成空间，压缩成先兆的结构，营造一个关于失败的纯洁景象。

In Qin Jin's narrative, memory, as a reappearance of the past, turns the ordinary moments in every scene of the journey into pictures. Time has become a constraint and deficiency in memories, compressing the memories of the self into space and a precursory structure, creating a pure scene of failure.

秦晋，1976年出生于中国广州。2003年毕业于广州美术学院油画系，获硕士学位，现任教于广州美术学院绘画艺术学院。秦晋的作品媒介多样，主要有绘画、影像、装置及文本写作。她用独特的视角体察个人历史如何附着在意识形态环境中从而产生复杂的变化。

Qin Jin was born in Guangzhou, China in 1976. She graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2003 with a master's degree. She currently teaches at the School of Fine Arts of GAFA. Qin Jin's works cover a variety of medium, such as painting, video, installation and text writing. She discusses through a unique perspective how personal history attaches to the ideological environment and results in complex changes.

陈丹笛子 | Chen Dandizi

陈丹笛子依旧把自我的疏离带入到作品中，既化身为城市中一个孤独的人，也化身为城市中的一只鸟，探讨在城市与自然紧密状态当中彼此的欲望和缺失。她从城市之间的变化无常的、敏锐的、微妙的关系中逐渐生成自己大量的情感，并迷失于其中。

Chen Dandizi still brings the alienation of the self into the work, Incarnating as a lonely person or a bird in the city, and discusses each other's desires and deficiencies in the tight state between the urban and nature. She gradually generated a lot of emotions from the fickle, keen, and delicate relationships between cities, and got lost in it.

陈丹笛子，1990年生于广西贺州，2015年毕业于广州美术学院油画系获学士学位，现工作和生活在广州。创作涉及录像、装置、摄影及文学。她的近期作品探讨的是在与自然或人工的日常现象偶然遭遇时的感知和体验，其中不乏疏离的人类情感，以及希望通过对自然的观察和想象来获取疏离之外的宽慰。

Chen Dandizi was born in Hezhou, Guangxi in 1990. She graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor's degree in 2015. She currently lives and works in Guangzhou. Her creation involves video, installation, photography, and literature. Her recent work explores perceptions and experiences when encountering everyday phenomena, natural or artificial, including alienated human emotions, and hopes to gain relief beyond alienation through observation and imagination towards nature.

林钰玘 | Lin Yuqi

林钰玘一直无法想象她影片中的人该以什么面孔出现，因为她也无法描摹出“我”的样子。这些脸被生活啃食，再用孤独填充，再被别人随意涂改，再用时间去修补。来来去去孤独都是唯一的主角，而时间是唯一的摄影师。时光最终会框扶住一个人的面孔，成为岁月的遗照。

Lin Yuqi has been unable to imagine the faces of the people in her films because it is also impossible for her to depict the appearance of "myself". These faces are eaten by life, filled with loneliness, altered by others at will, and repaired with time. After all, loneliness is the only protagonist, and time is the only photographer. Time will eventually frame a person's face and make it a legacy of time.

我在尝试对自己进行救赎，这场救赎就仿佛是减法，把“我”变得越来越少了。我们社会中在所谓变“好”的过程中，扼杀的不过是自己的天性，把自己的秉性去掉，热烈的那一面摘掉，所以在这场救赎中不过是完成了对自己的谋杀。 I am trying to redeem myself, and this redemption is like subtraction, which makes "I" less and less. In our society, in the so-called "becoming better" process, it is only our own nature that is strangled. We remove our own instincts and the passionate part. Therefore, in this salvation, we have only completed the murder of ourselves.

林钰屺，1994年出生于福建福州，2019年毕业于广州美术学院，获硕士学位，现生活工作于广州。林钰玘的影像和装置作品更多是对现实世界真相的提问，包括对自我的真相，以及社会传统观念中女性的身份。可以说艺术家用图像写作或者作诗，象征手法常常被运用其中，创作语言纯粹而有力，作品毫无畏惧地表达了人性中的欲望、不安、孤独和虚弱，这正是林钰玘作品的感人之处。

Lin Yuqi was born in Fuzhou, Fujian in 1994, graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2019 with a master's degree, and currently lives and works in Guangzhou. Lin Yuqi's video and installation works question about the truth of the real world, including the truth about self, and the identity of women in traditional social concepts. The artist uses images to write proses or poems, with symbolism technique frequently used amongst. Her creative language is pure and powerful. The works boldly express the desire, restlessness, loneliness, and weakness in human nature, which makes Lin's work so very touching.
