Part 1. Overall Mobile Phone Market in China
September domestic mobile phone shipments were 23.3 million, down 35.6 percent year-over-year(y/y). 58 new models were released in the month, down 35.6 percent y/y.
Over the past 9 months, domestic mobile phone shipments were 225.6 million and number of new model were 359, down 21.5 percent and 17.1 percent y/y respectively.

Part 2. Development of 5G Mobile Phones
September domestic 5G mobile phone shipments were 14.0 million, and represented 60.0 percent of the total shipments. 26 new 5G models were released in the month, accounting for 44.8 percent of the total new models released in the month.
YTD 5G mobile phone shipments were 107.7 million units, and the total number of new models were 167.
Part 3. Local and MNC Brands of Mobile Phones
September local brands of mobile phone shipments were 21.6 million, down 29.6 percent y/y, accounting for 92.4 percent of the total shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands were 51, decreased by 36.3 percent y/y, and represented 87.9 percent of the total number of new models released in the month.
YTD local brands of Mobile phone shipments were 206.0 million, down 22.0 percent y/y, and accounted for 91.3 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands were 327, decreased by 15.3 percent y/y, and represented 91.1 percent of the total number of new models.

Part 4. Development of Smart Phones
September smart phone shipments were 22.0 million, down 36.6 percent y/y, and accounted for 94.3 percent of the total shipments in the month. Over the past 9 months, smart phone shipments were 217.8 million, down 20.7 percent y/y, and represented 96.5 percent of the total shipments.
In September, 41 new smart phone models were released, down 39.7 percent y/y, and accounted for 70.7 percent of number of new models released in the month. Over the past 9 months, 273 new smart phone models were released, down 17.8 percent y/y, and accounted for 76.0 percent of the total number of new models.
