Part 1. Overall Mobile Phone Market in China
February domestic mobile phone shipments were 21.8 million, up 240.9 percent year-over-year(y/y). 28[1] new models were released in the month, up 33.3 percent y/y.
Over the past 2 months, domestic mobile phone shipments were 61.9 million and number of new model were 81, up 127.5 percent and 58.8 percent y/y respectively.

Part 2. Development of 5G Mobile Phones
February domestic 5G mobile phone shipments were 15.1 million, and represented 69.3 percent of the total shipments. 16 new 5G models were released in the month, accounting for 57.1 percent of the total new models released in the month.
YTD 5G mobile phone shipments were 42.3 million units, and the total number of new models were 48, represented 68.4 percent and 59.3 percent respectively.
Part 3. Local and MNC Brands of Mobile Phones
February local brands of mobile phone shipments were 19.6 million, up 234.0 percent y/y, accounting for 89.9 percent of the total shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands were 28, increased by 47.4 percent y/y, and represented 100 percent of the total number of new models released in the month.
YTD local brands of Mobile phone shipments were 53.3 million, up 120.4 percent y/y, and accounted for 86.1 percent of the domestic mobile phone shipments. Number of new models released by the local brands were 77, increased by 75.0 percent y/y, and represented 95.1 percent of the total number of new models.

Part 4. Development of Smart Phones
February smart phone shipments were 21.3 million, up 236.6 percent y/y, and accounted for 98.1 percent of the total shipments in the month. Over the past 2 months, smart phone shipments were 60.9 million, up 128.1 percent y/y, and represented 98.4 percent of the total shipments.
In February, 24 new smart phone models were released, up 26.3 percent y/y, and accounted for 85.7 percent of number of new models released in the month. Over the past 2 months, 65 new smart phone models were released, up 54.8 percent y/y, and accounted for 80.2 percent of the total number of new models.
