宁诺宣布实行半封闭管理，请中外师生配合做好防疫小调查 UNNC updates on Coronavirus
疫情就是命令，防控就是责任。
昨天下午，宁波诺丁汉大学新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情防控工作领导小组召开工作会议。组长应雄、副组长董红波分别传达了市政府、市教育局防疫工作会议精神和要求，相关职能部门负责人依次作防疫工作汇报。随后，领导小组集体研判最新疫情并对学校下一阶段工作做了针对性的部署。
Responding to the changing situation around the novel coronavirus, the UNNC working group had a meeting yesterday to communicate the latest guidance from the Ningbo municipal government and the education bureau, and discuss the next steps toward disease prevention and control.
经会议讨论并与学校执行校长尼克∙迈尔斯沟通后，决定：
一、宁波诺丁汉大学自2020年1月29日起实行半封闭管理，仅开放一号门岗和四号门岗，原则上禁止校外人员进校。所有进校人员和车辆需进行登记和体温筛查，所有留校人员如确需离校应登记去向。停止校园内一切不紧急的工程项目。
二、为保证整个宁诺社区的安全同时为下月返校做好准备，学校将对全校师生和工作人员进行防疫小调查。请大家理解并积极配合，如实告知个人身体情况、目前位置和假期去向。
三、针对外籍师生较多和学校教学的特殊性，各部门抓紧细化应急预案，落实实施细则，做好应对一切突发事件的准备，坚决打赢疫情防控阻击战。
会上，领导小组也向奋战在校园防控一线、或以各种方式为防控工作作出贡献的工作人员表示敬意。
According to local authorities’ requirements, the campus access has been restricted, effective from 29 January 2020 with Gate 1 and Gate 4 open only. All people and vehicles entering the campus will be required for registration and to take temperature checks.
In order to prepare for the return to campus, the University are surveying staff and students to find out where exactly they are currently, whether they have visited or had close contact with those from highly affected areas. This data will be collected by relevant departments to assure the health and safety of individuals and our community.
The meeting recognised the many challenges ahead, and paid tribute to the staff members who had been devoting their holiday time to virus prevention, control and communication for the whole community.
The meeting was hosted by the Party Secretary Ying Xiong, and Deputy Party Secretary and former Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection Dr Jenny Dong, who are also the lead and co-lead of the working group.

亲爱的全体同学、教职员工，
Dear staff and students,
我们一直把全校师生的健康放在首要位置，我们也正在尽最大努力保护校园内外所有师生的安全。
The health and safety of our staff and students remains our overriding priority and we are working hard to protect all our students and staff on campus and beyond.
自新型冠状病毒疫情爆发，我们第一时间成立了疫情防控工作领导小组，确保学校工作遵循各级卫生部门在疾病预防、控制和沟通方面的指导。我们定期将最新信息和防控建议传达给学校师生，以确保在这严峻形势下大家的健康和安全。
Since the novel coronavirus outbreak, UNNC has had a working group in place to ensure we are following all guidance from the Chinese health authorities on disease prevention, control and communication. We are updating our advice to staff and students on a regular basis to assure your health and safety during this extremely challenging and rapidly changing situation.
根据之前的通知，我们已经将开学时间推迟至2020年2月24日，教职员工上班时间推迟至2020年2月10日。为做好师生返校的准备工作，我们正在对整个宁诺社区进行调查，了解大家目前所在位置、近期是否曾在疫情高发地区居住或旅行、是否与感染者进行密切接触。这些信息对我们顺利开展防控工作、保障师生和社区安全十分重要，希望在相关部门联系您进行调查时，您能给予理解和配合。
You will know that we have postponed the start date for the new semester by a week to 24 February, and postponed arrival dates for staff to 10 February. In order to prepare for the return to campus, we are surveying our full community to find out where people are currently, whether they have visited or had close contact with people from affected areas. You will understand that this data is extremely important and I would appreciate every staff member and student to provide this information when contacted by relevant departments so that we can continue to assure the health and safety of individuals and our community.
同时，我们将继续采取严密的预防措施保障校园安全，包括定期对校园进行消毒、限制进出、对进入人员进行体温检测等。
We continue to take every precautionary measure to keep the campus community safe including regular disinfecting on campus, restricting access to our campus and checking temperatures for those who enter the campus.
在此特殊时期，我代表学校向您致以最真挚的祝愿，感谢您一直以来的耐心与支持。最后，请知悉，疫情不断变化，学校可能随之调整安排并将最新信息及时传达给您。
I appreciate this is a concerning period and would like to send you all my very best wishes and thank you for your continued patience and cooperation. Finally, please be aware that the situation surrounding the coronavirus is constantly changing. We will notify you promptly of any further changes.
