六个样板间来了！宁诺未来教室，等你一起打造

许久不见，
你是否甚是想念校园，
想念和大家一起同窗学习的日子？
昨天，我们从图书馆与资产处了解到，为了更好地迎接大家的归来，这段时间，教学楼的六间教室正在进行改造。改造后的教室将通过柔性家具、互动与共享技术、桌椅布局的改变，适应并大力支持线上线下混合教学的开展。
比如对于之后无法返校或不在校园的同学，有了这几间教室，他们就能实时看到教师们的课堂引导，并参与同学的课堂发言和讨论。
据悉，这几间教室在设计之初就充分考虑了教学、技术和空间的整合，尤其侧重翻转课堂理念的应用，旨在通过技术和空间的加持，进一步鼓励学生主动学习、合作探究本地化或全球化挑战的解决方案，推进学生为中心的课堂教学模式。教室里最不缺的是白板，学生随时可以将其从墙上取下进行创作。
另外，此次的改造特别融入了艺术的元素，每间改造的教室都有一个独特的配色体系，体现在椅子和挂在墙上的艺术品中，目前我们看到的有星空蓝、草木绿和姜黄橘等主题，椅子和墙面装饰品都将延续UNNC一贯的品味。

据图书馆的相关负责人介绍，学校意在将这六间教室打造成未来教室的“样板间”。投入使用后会收集教师和学生的使用反馈，之后会考虑进一步扩大至全校更多教室。目前资产处的项目负责人也表示正在做相应拆除、布线和涂料等相关工作，预计3月30日前即可完工。
当然，这只是校园为你做的准备之一。
图书馆技术团队和IT团队正在根据上一阶段的经验和反馈更新线上教学工作和平台使用指南。IT团队也正在对校内100多个教室进行技术升级。
最近学校全球事务办公室的老师们也忙着与在海外交换的学生和国际生密切联系，安抚心有惴惴的同学，解答家长们的担忧，让所有人感受到宁诺大家庭的温暖。
这几天，春光明媚，校园内已是春意盎然，玉兰、梨花、樱花等争奇斗艳。每天园林绿化工人都在悉心呵护校园内的一草一木。
随着100名教职工于近日陆续返回宁波，因时差带来的许多困难将会减少。凭借诺丁汉全球大家庭的力量，学校有信心在下一阶段的教学中继续克服难题，积极创新。

University rises to the challenge with improved facilities
Due to the introduction of online teaching and learning, our spring semester is already well underway. However, students are yet to return to campus, which begs the question: do students miss our campus and studying side-by-side in class?
To help students feel closer to the action, six study rooms (or classrooms) are presently being upgraded. This work aims to facilitate the better blending of online and offline teaching, with transformed rooms integrating flexible furniture as well as interactive and sharing technologies. These technical innovations will allow off-campus students to gain a real-time view of instructors and let them easily participate in discussions.
The design of the new rooms was influenced by the demands of pedagogy, technology and space. Crucial among these considerations was the principle of the "flipped classroom" - a student-centred (rather than teacher-centred) emphasis on interactive communication that cultivates students' abilities in active learning and collaborative problem-solving. Numerous whiteboards allow students to present their thoughts more comprehensively and the new rooms also boast unique colour schemes and inspiring pieces of artwork.
The University intends to test out the new rooms and gather feedback from students and lecturers.
These upgrades are only one example of several planned improvements to campus facilities and services. The Learning Technologies team and IT Services are presently working around the clock to prepare for the next phase of teaching and learning. On the "to do" list is a revision to UNNC’s digital teaching solutions guide and the revamp of over 100 classrooms, equipping them with ever more advanced technologies.
