With so many people stopping by and taking pictures in front of it when they visit the area, the lighthouse has become the unofficial symbol of the Peninsula. Located right by the lighthouse, there's Captain's Bar. The first floor offers a welcoming atmosphere with its outdoor seating area under the sun or the stars with the light salty sea breeze - perfect for a lazy afternoon or evening. The second floor is truly relaxing with its subtle rustic charm and it's casual and comfy lounge decor, while overlooking the billion dollar sea view through big french windows.

It's the perfect place for everyone and every occasion.

The Captain's Bar also offers a great selection of food. There are pastas, pizzas and all kinds of beverages from soft drinks to alcohol for you to enjoy at reasonable prices.

Priced from 58RMB to 80RMB, the spaghetti makes a great choice. The pasta is cooked properly, neither too soft nor too hard and the sauce is not overpowering, yet still packs plenty of flavor.

The hamburger is another popular choice and costs around 70RMB. The handmade patty is thick and juicy with crispy and fresh toppings. The french fries are of the same variety you find everywhere, but nonetheless, you can count on them to be more crispy and flavorful than the ones at a fast food place.

The chicken is delicious. For an entire chicken, you pay 138, or 74 for half of a chicken. The well cooked meat falls off the bone and the skin has just enough crispiness to it.

Truly, their menu is like a book in both Chinese and English with high quality food pictures. It is also very detailed, introducing every ingredients.

The waitresses here can all speak basic English. When you arrive, you will be greeted by the always smiling hostess, Lucy, who is sure to brighten your day. The manager here is an old HK movie star, who always keeps an eye on customers' needs and is always very gentle. With his little pigtail and deep dark color outfit, you may even recognize him from his roles in the TV series The Duke of Mount Deer (鹿鼎记)and Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils (天龙八部).
