Family Cultural Tour: Dongshan Temple (Dongshan Si)

It is documented in the historical records that Dongshan Temple was built in 1394(Ming Dynasty) after a Feng Shui master saw some purple lights passing by and determined it to be a holy ground. Dongshan Temple was rebuilt in 1854. It was then divided into 4 sections according to height. Each section is separated by a courtyard. In 1992, with the Chinese economic reform, Dapeng Fort was officially made a tourist attraction. It had a second rebuild with the help of the locals and overseas Chinese and finally became the beauty it is today.
