[Tonight] Machines of Loving Grace

Time moves ever faster toward a future which seems always more intimately unfamiliar. The future is always already nostalgic for a past we never had, as we find ourselves inhabiting a world that seems more akin to fantasy than anything real. This is a breakdown in communication. 

We could languish in confusion, or we could forget about all that for just an evening and move ourselves to rhythms that also seem to come from no-place and no-time, accept the mechanical nature of our lives and find something a little more human inside.

 MMERVV  has long since already accepted the robotic future, and looks forward to having robotic ears. In the meantime, he will have to be satisfied to hear, collect, and present the best mechanical rhythms he can find, music which cloaks the warm and romantic future-past in the cold uncertainty of the new reality. Organism is over, now all he can look for is the right balance of organic or inorganic.

 VOLKOV  shifts through the very deepest of cuts to bring you a selection of otherworldly and rich jams that are distinct both individually and as a collection. While playing, he is finding the balance between his music experience and the audience, and we're along for the very nice ride. Unique but accessible, left-field but full of groove, prepare to be pleased.
