Furthermore, SAIS understands the value of some education traditions. Students need to master academic skills in order to think critically about problems. Universities take good grades and test scores for granted. Our approach to project-based learning (PBL) teaches a traditional college preparatory curriculum, but it extends it into the real world. Students use their traditional knowledge and skills to solve challenging and interesting problems. Our test scores prove time and again that our students improve much more than students in typical schools. This combination of traditional academic training and unique creative problem solving is just the combination that employers want.

Curriculum
课程设置
Shenzhen American International School offers a curriculum based on the most rigorous American college preparatory standards (Traditional!) combined with a rigorous PBL dimension (Unique!). Advanced Placement (AP) courses are a key part of the curriculum. AP courses can earn students college credit with a high score on the AP examination - making this a very attractive option. Secondary students begin with pre-AP classes. Ask for our subject choices! We offer English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social studies, Project based design, Art, Music, Physical Education and Electives.
深美国际学校的高中课程是以严谨的美国大学预备课程标准为基（传统），再与项目学习法严密结合（独特）。此外，美国大学先修课程 (AP）也是我们课程中的重要组成部分。在AP考试中取得高分的学生甚至可以获得大学学分--这是非常具有吸引力的一点。我们的高中会从Pre-AP课程开始，并设有不同的科目选择。我们的课程设有英语语言、数学、科学、社会研究、项目设计、美术、音乐、体育及在线选修课程。

Our Unique! approach to project-based learning allows your student to discover his or her passion. SAIS prides itself on building community partnerships and we can place students in mentorships and internships in a wide variety of businesses and industries.

Our Faculty
师资力量
Most schools will have faculty with degrees from prestigious universities and SAIS is no exception with degrees from Columbia University, The University of Southern California and the University of California at Berkeley. As alumni of these top universities they know what is required to gain admission and what is required of the students once accepted. This experience is invaluable when it is time for your student to apply to University. (Traditional!) However, we are not just a traditional school.

Superior Academic Growth

Our Unique! balance of direct instruction (Traditional) and project-based learning produces remarkable academic growth in our students. Recent results show our middle school students improved 87.9% more than predicted on the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test. That amounts to nearly two years of growth during a single school year. (Unique!)
我们的教学平衡传统的直接指导与独特的项目教学法，双方的有效结合使学生的学业取得显著的进步。最近的学业进步评估（MAP）测试结果显示，我们初中生的进步率比预期高了87.9%，这相当于在一个学年里取得将近两个学年程度的进步。
