Shenzhen American International School (SAIS)

Shenzhen American International School (SAIS) is the only American international school in Shenzhen authorized and recognized by the Ministry of Education of the PRC and The Department of Education of GuangdongProvince as of May 2005.

SAIS provides education services to children of foreign countries including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, offering an American curriculum. The basic purpose of SAIS is to provide all students with a high quality, student oriented American education.

SAIS is currently serving students in grades Kindergarten through 8 and will be extended to high-school in the future. We also have pre-school programs for ages 3 and 4.

All textbooks are from the U.S. and the latest preparation and teaching methods are consistently adopted. The academic status and records of our students will be accepted by American schools, and students from SAIS can apply to these schools directly.

All the teachers at SAIS are experienced and have been certified by their university and state in America. Each teacher commits their time and efforts in the development of every individual student, thus creating a loving, respectful bond between student and teacher. 

Our teachers strive to best prepare our students through a strong and modern curriculum with quality American curriculum and instruction to meet every student’s needs in this ever changing world.

A few of the special features of SAIS:

All instruction is in English and all instructors in grades K-8 are from the U.S.

We can satisfy the needs of any student due to our low student to teacher ratio and individual instruction is emphasized and encouraged.

SAIS puts emphasis on students’ interactive activities, teamwork and performance.

SAIS provides interesting and useful after school programs and summer/ winter camps.

We provide practical, specific guidance for parents.

We can also assist students who wish to transfer to U.S. schools.

Our present campus and Admissions Office is located in Nanshan and is easily accessible from all parts of Shenzhen. Taken over in 2005 and completely renovated for the 2009 school year SAIS Nanshan Campus now instructs students from pre-school age 3 to grade 8 and plans to extend its grades to high-school.

Admissions are accepted at all times as SAIS has a rolling admissions policy. There are no deadlines for applications and all are welcome to visit and apply. Parents and students are welcome to tour our campus at any time during school hours, circumstances permitting.

深圳深美国际学校于2005年5月经中华人民共和国教育部批准成立，是迄今为止深圳地区唯一一所获国家教育部及广东省教育厅认可成立的美国国际学校。   深美国际学校是一所为外籍（包括港澳台）学生提供美国课程教育的学校，我们的基本理念是为所有的学生提供优质且以学生为中心的美式教育。   目前，深美国际学校开设有从幼儿园到八年级的课程，不久的将来我们将扩展至高中课程。此外，我们还为3至4岁的小朋友提供学前班课程。   我们所有的教材均由美国引进，我们也一直坚持采用最新的教学方法及参考资料。

因此我校学生的学历及学习成绩将会得到美国学校承认，深美国际学校的学生也可以直接申请入读美国学校。   师资方面，深美国际学校的教师均有大学以上学历，并获得美国各州政府颁发的教师资格，经验丰富。我们每一位老师都将全心致力于每一位学生的发展，以求与学生建立一种关爱及互相尊重的联系。   

深美国际学校的一些特点: 从幼儿园到8年级所有的教师都来自美国，因此课程均用英语教学 由于我们的师生比例较低，所以我们能够满足所有学生的需求。我们相当重视及提倡个人辅导 深美国际学校重视学生的互动活动，团队精神及个人表现 深美国际学校为学生提供有趣且有用的课后兴趣班及夏/冬令营 我们为家长提供实用，及有针对性的指引 我们还能为希望转入美国学校的学生提供帮助   目前，我们的校园及招生中心位于南山，交通便利。在这个2009年完成翻新工程的校园里，现有从3岁班到8年级共11个年级的学生在学习，而高中课程的开设也正在计划当中。
