A Great Dinning Experience @George & Dragon British Pub

The George & Dragon, tucked behind the Taizi hotel, enjoys both a central and secluded location in Shekou.

The G&D is your good old quintessential British pub with an interesting selection of draft beers, ales and stout such as Marstons Pedigree, Murphys, Strongbow cider also Rogue Dead Guy from a microbrewery in the US. You can also enjoy specialty bottled brews including Canadian Moosehead larger & pale ale, Magnus cider etc.

The food is exactly what you would expect and would want from a British pub. Good no nonsense food in hearty portions such as; beer can chicken, shepherd’s pie, Lancashire hotpot, fish & chips, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and the list goes on.

The interior is cozy and the wooden beams, the horse brasses and other trinkets give it just the right feel. On the more modern end of the scale there are plenty of flat-screen TV’s dotted throughout the bar on which to watch the sports.

The G&D also has its own beer garden and a clever touch has been the installation of cooling units outside to take the edge of China’s hot and humid summers.

The G&D does host various events such as single malt whisky tastings, pig in the box, weekend BBQ’s and it can also be rented out for private functions. Ask any of the staff for details.
