Blessed with sunny Canton autumn weather, the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong held another fun British Day on 19th Oct. for our members, the public and many families that attended. The 2019 Guangzhou British Day’s Autumn Fete welcomed nearly 4,000 guests from the local and international communities all spending the day in the sun, enjoying traditional British culture through the food and live bands. With the huge success of the previous British Day, our 2019 Guangzhou British Day (8th anniversary) was again hosted at Canton Place. 

乘着广州阳光灿烂的秋天，广东英国商会于10月19日再次成功举办了有趣的广州英国日，为我们的会员，粉丝和中外家庭带来了欢乐的秋季嘉年华。我们很荣幸现场有近4000位的来宾与我们同庆第八届2019广州英国日之秋季嘉年华。有了上一届广州英国日的巨大成功，本届再次在广粤天地举行。

During the day, family-friendly games at the booths, brilliant performances on stage from our little friends from schools along with a diverse set of British food and beverage helped ignited excitement throughout the day. The atmosphere reached its climax with thrilling lucky draws of dozens of prizes including the international round trip flight between Guangzhou and London.

摊位里的亲子游戏，舞台上的儿童合唱表演，带感的英伦音乐和可口的美食，共同营造出浓烈的英国氛围。随着主持人进行慈善奖券抽奖，抽出获得广州至伦敦往返机票的幸运儿，现场气氛更达到高潮。

To help the attendees embrace British culture, we kicked off the event with the traditional bagpiper, playing his way out from Canton place into the arrive at the stage, with a feast of music from the edgy rock band Easy Tiger, providing the audience a mixed British classics across the era’s.

活动以传统风笛表演开场，风笛手从会场外面沿着文化长廊，经过摊位，走上舞台，为英国文化盛宴拉开序幕。紧接着，英国乐队Easy Tiger给我们带来了风格的颠覆，从传统文化穿越到流行摇滚英国文化，为我们带来了多首嗨爆的带感摇滚歌曲。

Song and dance and choir performance from a selection of our international schools members, their brave performances lit with their lovely smiley faces and vibrant energy grab the attention every time.

我们的国际学校会员为我们带来了活力歌舞和合唱团表演。他们的大胆表演，加上可爱的笑脸和热情活力，引来了台下观众的阵阵掌声。

Super Mini Man Competition witnessed a lot of Hercules like men, women and children pulling the British Classic car with just some rope and bare hands – winning mini prizes at the end!

迷你拉力赛发掘了不少大力神，无论男女老少都积极参与，徒手抓住绳索拉动经典英国汽车，赢取冠军大奖！

Sports and games including a 50m dash, giant footballs， bouncy castle rugby and crazy hats competition kept the children busy and our ice cream vendors busy too as the hot sun shone on the excited and energetic children – parents joined in too, an excuse for more British beers and English sparkling wines supplied from our last existing our food & beverage members.

50米亲子赛跑，顶巨型足球，充气城堡橄榄球和疯帽子大赛等体育和游戏活动使孩子们都嗨翻天，玩的游戏一个接一个。一旁陪伴的家长也不会觉得无聊，纷纷吃起了雪糕，喝起了啤酒和葡萄酒，一扫早秋的炎热。

Booth owners from various industries including education, healthcare, finance, consulting, and F&B kept everyone entertained, informed and well fuelled – something for everyone.

来自教育，医疗保健，金融，咨询和餐饮等行业的摊主都各施其技，准备了丰富多样的游戏，使得来宾都满载而归，会场充满欢声笑语。

Charity Raffle Lucky Draw

慈善礼券抽奖

Three rounds of lucky draw throughout the day allowed a breather for the performers, however the crowd were fully engaged, hoping to win many prizes that were on offer. Thanks to all our generous sponsors, lucky attendees on that day walked away with prizes which including airline tickets, hotel stays, buffet vouchers, restaurant discounts, healthcare coupons, travel and painting service vouchers, suitcases and travel kits. We should not forget that we had a special raffle draw which raised RMB 11,000, which was donated to one of our charity partners, The Hopeful Heart Foundation, who funds life-saving heart surgery for children from low-income families. Thank you to all who bought charity raffle tickets at British Day, it means a lot to us too.

三轮幸运抽奖让表演者能稍事休息，但是观众们依然忙得不可开交，他们都在忙着赢取许多奖品。感谢所有慷慨的赞助商，当天幸运儿不仅获得了机票，酒店住宿，自助餐券，餐厅折扣，还有医疗券，旅行，绘画服务券，手提箱和旅行包等等。而这次慈善奖券一共筹集了11,000元人民币，全额捐赠给了Hopeful Heart 慈善机构，该基金会为低收入家庭的孩子提供心脏手术。在此衷心感谢所有在广州英国日购买慈善抽奖券的您，您的善举对我们而言意义重大。
