around 和 about 都可以表达“大约”，有啥区别？ | 语法解密

about 或 around 都可以做副词，表示“大约”，但 about 似乎更常用。

一般这两个词都用在“整数”（round numbers）前面，如：

about/around 100 people

约有 100 人

但在非整数前，就不能用 about 或 around 啦，你不能说：

About/around 72 people

如果你已经表达“预估”的意思，那么就无需再用一次 about/around 表达“预估”，否则就显得啰嗦，比如：

Experts estimated that about 100 people died in this disaster.（误）

专家预估约有一百人在这次灾难中丧生。

这里的 about 其实可以省去。

另外，如果你想表达一个范围，也无需用 about/around，也属于累赘，比如：

A group of about 7-10 people will attend.（误）

7到10人的小组将来参加。

这里的about 也可以省去。

另外，如果描述一个精确的数字，通常前面用介词 at，比如：

He gets up at 6:30 every morning.

他每天6:30起床。

如果是模糊数字，把 at 换成 about/around 即可，比如：

He got up about 6:30 yesterday.

他昨天大概6:30起床的。

不要 at 和 about/around 连用哦！下句是错的：

He got up at about 6:30 yesterday.（误）
